What To Expect

puppy1.png When you are looking for a veterinary clinic you should be able to count on superior care and excellent service.  We at Double Churches Animal Clinic located in Columbus GA have assembled an expert team of veterinary professionals to provide the best possible healthcare for your pet.  We have a state of the art veterinary facility which is clean, comfortable, and efficient.  Call 706-322-3232 to schedule an appointment and we will find a time that is convenient for you.

Once a year, you should bring your pet in for a wellness exam.  This will include a full physical exam where Dr. Shannon Wylie or Dr. Shaun Boone will examine your pet from head to tail, including your pet's teeth and gums.  If you have a senior or geriatric pet, they need to be examined every 6 months (bi-annually) to identify aging changes as soon as possible.

Please bring in any medical history or records you have for your pet when you come to your pet's appointment.  It's best to keep a journal of your pet's health throughout his or her life, including behavioral changes.  If you have noticed anything that concerns you, share it with our team.  If you don't have any records, please just let us know everything that you think will be important.  Dr. Shannon Wylie & Dr. Shaun Boone can still work with whatever information you have. In addition to medical records, please also bring in any medications or supplements your pet is currently taking.

In some circumstances, Dr. Shannon Wylie & Dr. Shaun Boone will refer you to a specialist who has advanced expertise in areas such as internal medicine or surgery.
